Information
The shipping and returns policy a live MERIDIAN store would operate under. Nothing on this page applies to a real order, because the store cannot accept one.
A live store would dispatch from a single warehouse and offer two illustrative services, both selectable at checkout:
Delivery windows, shipping rates and the free-shipping threshold are demo values configured in one place (src/lib/config.ts) so they can be changed without touching the checkout UI.
A live store would send a dispatch confirmation with a tracking reference once a parcel leaves the warehouse. This demo sends no email at all, the newsletter and contact forms both simulate their responses locally.
A live store would accept unused items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery, with a prepaid return label generated through the courier integration. Refunds would be issued to the original payment method after the item is inspected.
In this demo, returns are not possible: no item exists to be returned, no payment has been taken, and no order record is created.
A live store would ask customers to report a damaged or incorrect item within 48 hours of delivery, with a photograph, and would cover the cost of the replacement and its return shipping. This is shown here only as an example of the policy text a real deployment would carry.
A live store would need to decide on duties, taxes and restricted destinations before shipping outside India. Nothing about international fulfilment is modelled in this demo, and the checkout currently defaults to India.

Demo Store · MERIDIAN is a fictional brand created by Veltolabs for demonstration purposes. No real orders will be fulfilled. This page describes how a live MERIDIAN store would operate. It is not a contract with a real business.
