Information
What this demonstration storefront actually stores, what it never sends, and what a live deployment would have to disclose.
This demo has no database, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The only thing stored about you is the contents of your shopping bag, and that stays in your own browser.
Your bag is saved to your browser's local storage under the key meridian.cart.v1 so it survives a refresh. It contains product ids, variant ids and quantities, never your name, email, phone number or address.
You can clear it at any time by emptying the bag on the cart page or by clearing site data in your browser.
Checkout details (name, email, phone, address) are sent to this site's own server, which re-prices the order and stores it as a test record in a demo Supabase project so the order flow can be demonstrated. When payment is enabled in test mode, your name, email and contact number are prefilled into Razorpay's secure test payment window; card or UPI credentials are entered only in that window and never reach this site.
Newsletter and contact forms validate your input and store it in the same demo database when it is connected; without a database connection they respond with a simulated confirmation and store nothing.
This demo sets only the session cookie required by Supabase Authentication when you sign in or register. It keeps you signed in and is cleared on sign-out. No analytics or advertising cookies are set, and no third-party scripts load other than Razorpay's payment window when a test payment is attempted.
A production MERIDIAN deployment would process customer details, order records and newsletter subscriptions in Supabase, process payments through Razorpay, and use courier integrations for shipping. At that point this page would need to cover: the lawful basis for processing, retention periods, the payment provider's role as a processor, data-subject rights, and contact details for enquiries, along with a cookie policy if analytics were added.
Today the store runs against a demo Supabase project: orders, accounts and subscriptions you create are real records in that demo database, visible to the demo administrator, and can be removed on request.
Demonstration notice
Demo Store · MERIDIAN is a fictional brand created by Veltolabs for demonstration purposes. No real orders will be fulfilled. This page describes how a live MERIDIAN store would operate. It is not a contract with a real business.
